Creative Commons Licenses

Creative Commons (CC) is a US-based non-profit located in Mountain View, California. Their mission is to increase the number of creative works freely accessible for legal use, modification, and sharing. They've introduced a series of free licenses, known as Creative Commons licenses, allowing creators to specify which rights they keep and which they waive for others. Each license comes with an emblematic symbol detailing its permissions. Using these licenses has become standard for Open Educational Resources (OER) creators, and guidance on selecting a license can be found at http://creativecommons.org/choose/.
