Through the end of the 1920s, Micheaux would eventually move away from movies centered around racial themes. The Millionaire was his first non-race-related silent film (Cripps, 1977). It is about a wealthy ex-military man who meets and falls in love with a woman, who works in the seedy underground and the soldier tries to reform her. Meanwhile, the woman tries to trap him in marriage (https://media.dream13.com/the-millionaire-1927/).
